Football index has been launched by England manager Fabio Capello which sets up a latest formula for ranking of international players for new game – the Capello XI.
The system is known as the Capello Index and the Italian technician himself has designed it, obviously in between making plans for the World Cup. Over the last two years, it was in the development phase. The Capello Index measures performance of player by keeping in mind every aspect of their game.
The score of the player will depend on how much of an impression they have on the match as well as depends on numerous factors viz. the pitch area they struggled in as well as their significance on the game.
Fabio Capello had a talk with reporters and said:
I have sought to use my experience as a manager at both club and international level to identify the attributes and qualities that make players valuable to a team. I'm excited by the prospect of fans from around the globe being able to see how the Capello Index rates their favorite players.
The measurement of the performance of players in five leading European leagues will be done by the Capello Index and the World Cup in South Africa will be the first tournament that will be covered by the system. The World Cup will also watch the launching of a new fantasy football game displaying the Capello Index.
