- Britton Colquitt, the punter for Tennessee, went ahead and got his scholarship taken away, and was suspended for 5 games for boozin' up (he has multiple alcohol arrests), getting into an accident and leaving the scene:
"Colquitt hit a parked car early Sunday morning and then fled the scene. According to police reports, when officers stopped Colquitt, he admitted to drinking and driving as well as to hitting the car and a tree stump. Police said Colquitt smelled strongly of alcohol, his speech was slurred and he was staggering."
- South Carolina receiver Dion Lecorn was arrested for possession of sticky icky.
- Talented LSU QB Ryan Perrilloux was suspended indefinitely for missing classes, team meetings and workouts. Which is just dumb. Anyway, SI.com's Mandel Stewart says coach Les Miles should throw Perrilloux off the team. Anyone think that's going to happen?
- Alabama defensive lineman Jeremy Elder was charged with first degree robbery, and it'll cost $120,000 to get him out from behind bars.
- Ramonce Taylor was on Texas' 2005 national championship team before getting kicked off for being arrested with four 1-pound bags of greenery in his car. He recently violated his probation and was sentenced to five months in the slammer. His mom heard the news, and promptly passed out and cracked her noggin on the floor.
