A look at the top 5 returning quarterbacks heading into the 2008 college football season.
- Tim Tebow, Florida Gators: The reigning Heisman Trophy winner combined for 55 touchdowns – 32 passing and 23 rushing.
- Chase Daniel, Missouri Tigers: A Heisman finalist, Daniel was among the top 10 QB's in completions, passing yards, completion percentage and TD passes.
- Sam Bradford, Oklahoma Sooners: Bradford led the nation in passer rating, and was fifth in the NCAA with 36 TD passes.
- Curtis Painter, Purdue: Painter was ninth in the country in total passing yards and among the top 20 in TD passes while completing nearly 63% of his passes.
- Dan LeFevour, Central Michigan: Only one QB was responsible for more points per game than LeFevour, and that was Tebow. He ran for 19 TD's and threw for 27, with a combined 4,774 yards passing and rushing.
