Another week of NFL football means another week of fantasy football. Let's go over our Week 2 fantasy freaks – guys who should be locks to give you big-time points.
QB – Eli Manning, New York Giants: The Giants play the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. You did see what Donovan McNabb did to the Rams without his top two receivers during Week 1, did you not? Is any further explanation really necessary?
RB – Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings: Not only is AP one of the top backs in the league, but the Vikes go up against the Colts, who let rookie Matt Forte run all over them last week. Also, Indianapolis released one of their starting defensive tackles, Ed Johnson, because he liked to spark blunts. Combine these factors and you have a really great match-up for Peterson.
WR – Santonio Holmes, Pittsburgh Steelers: Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger did a lot of handing off Week 1, but against the Browns and their below average pass defense, you have to think the team will let Big Ben fire away. And Holmes has the deep speed and explosiveness to possibly have a huge day. Not to mention the fact that he had just two catches for 19 yards last week, and he'll want to make up for that.
TE – Jeremy Shockey, New Orleans Saints: With Marques Colston out, Shockey becomes a more integral part of the team's offense. He will be targeted more, especially in the end zone. That's certainly good news for fantasy owners looking to get those six points.
