Football Smatterings

Filed in archive NFL by Kyle Smith on June 4, 2008

A look around the suddenly busy world of football, as training camp is now about eight weeks away.

- Chad Johnson got his bluff called, and says he'll be returning. Frankly, his act is starting to wear awfully thin. It was funny at first, but now it's just annoying. (ESPN.com)

- The fantastic program "Inside the NFL" will be seen on Showtime this season. (Minneapolis star tribunelinks)

- View the preliminary player ratings for Madden '09 and see where your team stands. (Pasta Padre)

- Only a couple years removed from an MVP season, Shaun Alexander can't get a job, and he may be waiting a while. (Sporting News.com)

- 2nd year WR Anthony Gonzalez could have a big year for the Colts. (Indianapolis Star)

- Some skepticism about Terrell Owens' new deal. (SI.com)

- A frighteningly bad ranking of the best and worst dual running back tandems in the NFL, unless of course you think Julius Jones and T.J. Duckett belong on the list. (ESPN.com)
