Around and about the world of football.

- The St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers aren't exactly off to a flying start so far this preseason. To say the least. (Pro Football Weekly)

- And speaking of the 49ers, it's not out of the realm of possibility that J.T. O'Sullivan could be the team's starting QB in Week 1. No, seriously. (San Francisco Chronicle)

- In a somewhat surprising move, Dolphins kicker Jay Feely was cut, and in his place will be an undrafted player named Dan Carpenter. (Miami Herald)

- Panthers receivers Muhsin Muhammad on the Chicago Bears organization: "It's where receiver go to die." The Bears then respond with examples of marginal receivers who have gotten better. (Daily Herald)

- Yelling at Lions WR Roy Williams will get fans escorted out of the facilities, because yelling hurts his feelings. "There's no signs that say you've got to stay positive," the fan said. (Detroit Free Press)
