The college football season has now progressed to the point where conference play has started, and Heisman Candidates are breaking through. Let's handicap the field through six weeks of action.
1. Chase Daniel, QB, Missouri: Daniel guides a top-five team with remarkable efficiency. He is second in the nation in completion percentage at 76.3, ninth in TD passes with 15, and he has thrown just one interception. His numbers would most certainly be higher if he hadn't been taken out after the third quarter of a number of games.
2. Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma: Bradford is second in the nation with a QB rating of 204.97, fifth with a 72.6 completion percentage, he has thrown 18 TDs and is tied with Daniel at 1,665 passing yards.
3. Javon Ringer, RB, Michigan St.: Ringer is second in the country with 988 yards, he has run for 12 TDs, which is tied for the most in college football, and though he his not the best receiver out of the backfield, he has amassed seven catches for 60 yards.
4.. Colt McCoy, QB, Texas: Nobody has a higher completion percentage than McCoy, who has a 79.2 mark. He has also tossed 16 TD passes, but has really shown to himself as a runner this season, with 317 yards on the ground and four rushing TDs.
Others receiving votes: Max Hall, QB, BYU; Donald Brown, RB, UConn; Graham Harrell, QB, Texas Tech; Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech; Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri; Jarett Dillard, WR, Rice; David Johnson, QB, Tulsa

Tim Tebow is one of the most complete football QB. He is a true field general and fearce compedator not to mention a great sportsman, rarely taking credit for Florida’s success.
