Those Brits sure do love their football.
Wait a minute. Doesn't football really mean soccer in the United Kingdom?
Maybe, but you certainly wouldn't know that by the uncanny ticket sales for the NFL regular-season game taking place in London's Wembley Stadium later this year.
american football enthusiasts in the UK stormed ticket venues, as 40,000 were sold in the first 90 minutes of availability.
The NFL is experimenting with a regular-season game in London, examining the possibility of adding a 17th game to the NFL schedule in the future, so all teams can play a game in the UK.
If day one of ticket sales for the Dolphins-Giants game is any indication of the success of the experiment, get ready for change.
