If Athletes From Other Sports Played Football

What athletes from other sports would have been good football players? Some are obvious, but some are less so. Let's take a look at the All-Pro "Could've Been Football Players" team.

OFFENSE

Quarterback - Jason Kidd, 6'4", 210: A great passer and mobile, he could be a lot like Vince Young. But probably more accurate.

Running Back - Jose Reyes, 6'1", 200: Possessing blazing speed, the Mets shortstop would break ankles.

Fullback - Pat Hurst (LPGA), 5'6", 225?: Perfect for the blocking back position, what SI.com said about her is all you need to know: "The 36-hole final doesn't bode well for Hurst, an unmade bed of a woman who doesn't seem to be in training for a marathon, or perhaps even a jog around the block. Her best hope is to play 18 and summon her remaining reserves to do a rain dance."

Tight End - LeBron James, 6'8", 240: With his incredible leaping ability, he'd be the ultimate red zone target.

Offensive Tackle - Shaquille O'Neal, 7'1", 325: So he's not what he used to be, but it'll still be tough to get past him.

Offensive Guard - Butterbean, 5'11", 395: Moving him out of the wouldn't be easy.

Center - Kevin Stadler (PGA), 5'10", 250: His dad was nicknamed "The Walrus", so if he can just get in the way, that should be enough.

Wide Receiver - Allen Iverson, 6'0", 175: Former prep QB, we know he has the toughness to play and take hits over the middle.

DEFENSE (Our team runs a 4-3 front)

Defensive End - Chris Simon (NHL), 6'3", 220: Forget his size, he's an expert in bending the rules, so to speak. He'd get to the quarterback.

Defensive Tackle - Yao Ming, 7'6", 310: Go ahead and try to throw a pass over the middle.

Outside Linebacker - Mike Tyson, 5'11", 235: You gonna block him?

Middle Linebacker - Tonya Harding, 5'1", 235?: Watch out for your knees.

Safety - Alex Rodriguez, 6'3", 225: Just hope he doesn't have to make a game saving tackle in the playoffs.

Cornerback - Roger Federer, 6'1", 180: More quick than fast, not much has gotten by him in his career.

Kicker/Punter - Johnny Weir, Figure Skater: Look him up if you don't know who he is.
