Karma's A Bitch, Bill

The New England Patriots demolished the Washington Redskins 52-7 on Sunday. The usual line after a blowout like this is, "well, it could have been worse." But that line isn't applicable for this game, because no, it couldn't have been worse.
Why? Well, besides the headsets on the Redskins sideline mysteriously going out during the game, Patriots coach Bill Satan Belichick decided to not only keep Tom Brady in the game in the fourth quarter, but also to go for it on two fourth downs inside Redskins territory, including once at the 7 yard line.
At his press conference, Satan Belichick answered a question about running up the score by asking what they were supposed to do in that situation, "kick a field goal?" Well, yeah, Satan Bill.
Though a couple Washington players weren't happy about it, Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs proclaimed he had no problems with what Satan Belichick did. And it's true, the Redskins job is to stop them, and if they can't do it, that's on them. But there is something to be said for showing respect, class and dignity.
Not to mention karma, or the ages old saying, "what goes around comes around." Because this will catch up to Satan Belichick in some way. Maybe not this year, and maybe not even on the football field, but sooner or later, things have a way of evening out for people like him.
And though they'll surely never admit it, I guarantee more than one Patriots fan cringed instead of celebrated when they saw the Pats run up the score.
