NFL Cheerleaders In The Workplace

Being an NFL cheerleader is, obviously, not a full-time job. These gals need to have regular jobs to go along with their cheering duties. Many are dance instructors and things of that nature, but not all.

By now, most of you are aware of the Houston Texanslinks cheerleader who is an aerospace engineer at NASA. However, she is not the only NFL cheerleader with a unique job.

- Adrienne, of the Cincinnati Ben-Gals, is a concrete laborer. And I'm guessing the only NFL cheerleader who is.

- Jessie, a Denver Broncos cheerleader, calls herself a diamond dealer: "I work as a diamond dealer. Being a cheerleader has not only opened up a new network of contacts for me, but also taught me time management."

- Elena, a member of the San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush squad, is a phlebotomist. If, like me, you didn't have a clue what that meant, Wikipedia says it is "the act of collecting blood either for testing or transfusion."

- Megan, of the St. Louis Rams, is a psychologist with a Master's in Clinical Child and School Psychology. Not to mention she just became the 2007-2008 recipient of the Illinois School Psychologist Association Research Grant Award. Basically, that means she's smarter than you.

- Emily, of the Oakland Raiders. She is an attorney in the field of employment and labor laws. It kind of figures that Raiders owner Al Davis would have a lawyer on the cheerleader squad.

- Rachel, of the Philadelphia Eagles, is a Cadet in the United States Army ROTC program. So she probably likes guns.

- Melissa, Tennessee Titans cheerleader, is also smarter than you are. That is because she is a Molecular Neuroscience Research Assistant/Analyst.
