NFL QB's Going Down Left and Right
It is a well-known fact that playing quarterback in the NFL is rewarding in every sense of the word. Playing the position, and playing it well means money, fame and numerous other perks.

But it can also be a risky proposition. Because the position necessitates a QB look down-field instead of at the 300 pound men trying to crush them, it can be a painful experience. That has never been more evident than in the 2007 NFL season.

13 teams have had their quarterback go down to injury for some period of time. In the NFC, the Giants, Cardinals, 49ers, Rams, Lions, Vikings and Panthers have all had to use a back-up at some point during the season. In the AFC, the list includes the Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Chiefs, Raiderslinks and Ravens.

So it shouldn't surprise anyone that those teams have a combined record of 24-39, which is a .381 winning percentage.

In fact, the crisis is so bad, 43 year old Vinny Testaverde is back in the league, after signing with the Carolina Panthers. He was the first overall draft pick ... in 1987.
