NFL Week 12 Fantasy Freaks

QB Brett Favre: The Packers travel to Detroit to take on the Lions in the first game on Thursday. Favre is having an outstanding season, and Green Bay is 9-1, including a 4-0 road record. That is bad news for a Lions team that has stumbled a bit recently, losing their last two games to NFC opponents Arizona and New York. Detroit also has the 3rd worst pass defense in the league, giving up 258 yards per game through the air. Arizona threw for over 250 yards and 4 touchdowns two weeks ago, while eli manning
and the Giants threw for over 280 yards and 1 touchdown last week. With Greg Jennings, Donald Lee, Donald Driver and others at his disposal, expect a big day from Favre.RB Willis McGahee: The Ravens make the cross-country trek to California to play the inconsistent San Diego Chargers. Though the Chargers run defense is 23rd in the NFL, allowing nearly 120 yards per game, that statistic is skewed somewhat because of Adrian Peterson's 296 yards, and Minnesota's 378 total rushing yards against them in week 9. Take away that game, and San Diego only allows 91 yards per game on the ground, which would be 7th in football. Still, you have to like McGahee, the league's 3rd leading rusher. He's scored a rushing touchdown in 5 straight games and gotten 100 + yards in 2 of those contests. And let's face it - the Ravens don't have many other options.
RB Joseph Addai: The Colts are known as Peyton Manning's team, but he has just 3 touchdowns and 8 interceptions the last three weeks, and has thrown more TD's than INT's just once in the last 5 weeks. That, and the fact that Indianapolis goes to Atlanta to face a Falcons defense that gives up 124 yards per game on the ground, is a good reason to think Addai will come up big. WR Marvin Harrison is still hurt as well, leaving Manning looking like a mere mortal. Expect Addai to get plenty of carries and to add to his 8 rushing TD's.
WR Andre Johnson: After being forced to sit out with injury since week 3, Johnson came back in week 11 with aplomb. He torched the Saints for 120 yards and 1 touchdown, and in his three games this season Johnson has at least 120 yards and has scored in each of them. Things probably won't change much this week as the Texans travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns and their secondary, which gives up about 270 yards per game through the air. Another 100+ yards and a score sound about right.
