NFL Week 15 Fantasy Freaks
Filed in archive Fantasy Football by Kyle Smith on December 13, 2007

Week 15 of the NFL has arrived, so let's take a look at the best match-ups for the week in fantasy football.
QB - Matt Hasselbeck
, Seahawks: Hasselbeck has led Seattle to the ninth-rated passing offense in the NFL, and they have really turned it on recently. The 'Hawks play at Carolina Sunday, and though the Panthers allow just over 210 passing yards per game, Seattle coach Mike Holmgren has been committed to throwing the ball more than ever, and it's shown. In his past four games, Hasselbeck has tossed nine touchdown passes to just two interceptions, and has averaged over 260 yards passing per game. Included in that is last week's effort, in which the QB threw four TD passes against Arizona. Hasselbeck is hot, and a Carolina team that has little to play for shouldn't stop him.RB - Adrian Peterson, Vikings: Way to go out on a limb, right? Well, a week ago against the San Francisco 49ers, Peterson, the NFL's second leading rusher, had just three yards on 14 carries. This week, he and the Vikings take on the Chicago Bears in Minnesota on Monday night. And if you'll remember, the last time Peterson went up against the Bears defense, he went off, rushing for 224 yards and three touchdowns.
RB - Ryan Grant, Packers: Green Bay travels to St. Louis to take on the Rams. Brett Favre doesn't have a great history inside domes, though coach Mike McCarthy probably won't take that into consideration in the game plan. What he should consider is that although the Rams have yet to let an opposing back rush for 100 yards, they still have a defense that can be run on. Just ask Rudi Johnson and the Bengals, who ran for 192 yards last week in Cincinnati. Expect Grant, who has run for 6.6 yards per carry indoors, to have a big day.
WR - Braylon Edwards, Browns: The Cleveland Browns play the Buffalo Bills this week in a game that has plenty of playoff implications. No doubt the Browns will come out throwing against the league's fifth-worst pass defense. Buffalo gave up 220 passing yards a week ago to the hapless Dolphins, as Miami's Derek Hagan had 93 receiving yards. So just think what Edwards, who has a TD reception in each of his last three games, can do.
