Yesterday, we looked at our projections of NFL Fantasy Freaks and to see how we did, and we're happy to say we doled out some good advice. Our flops predictions concerning the slate of Week 6 games didn't go quite as swimmingly, although it wasn't too bad.
QB brett favre: The Packers won again, but Favre did as we predicted and stunk. He only passed for 157 yards, 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. In fact, the team only got 225 yards of total offense, but they still managed to beat the Redskins in Lambeau.
WR Braylon Edwards: Um, is a heart-wrenching "sorry" going to suffice? Because we missed the boat on this one. Badly. As right as we were on Favre, that's how off we were on Edwards. The Browns wideout didn't have a prolific day in terms of catches or yards, with only 5 grabs for 67 yards, but three of those catches were in the end zone.
QB Matt Schaub: The Texans QB didn't have a great game either. He passed for a respectable 259 yards, but threw one interception and didn't throw for a touchdown. He was replaced late in the game by Sage Rosenfels.
RB Cedric Benson: There was a fantastic performance in the Bears/Vikings game – it just wasn't by Benson. Adrian Peterson went off for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Benson continued his dull play with 67 yards and no scores. He currently has more fumbles than touchdowns on the season.
WR Patrick Crayton: In what promised to be a high scoring affair, Crayton figured to get some looks, but we took a chance and said he would bust. Well, he didn't bust, but he didn't break out either. He had an okay day, finishing with 47 yards and hauling in a TD pass.
So overall we did okay with our projections. Hit big on Favre and Benson, and missed wildly on Edwards. But there's still a lot of football left to be played, and a lot of fantasy championships to be won.
