- Joe Flacco, QB, Baltimore Ravens: After his uninspiring 0-for-3 in the first preseason game, Flacco bounced back by completing 10-of-15 passes for 74 yards. He did not throw a pick, though he did fumble once.
- Chris Johnson, RB, Tennessee Titans: In his second consecutive strong game, Johnson ran eight times for 46 yards, and returned one kickoff for 30 yards. It's becoming more evident that he will be a big part of the Titans offense this season.
- Antoine Cason, CB, San Diego Chargers: Cason made three tackles, but he also picked off a pass and showed he knew what to do with the ball in his hands by rumbling 53 yards down field on the return. Unless something major occurs, Cason has the nickel corner job locked up.
- DeSean Jackson, WR, Philadelphia Eagles: The speedy Cal wide out was the leading receiver for the Eagles in their win over Carolina. Jackson hauled in 7 passes for 71 yards and returned five punts for 46 yards, an average of 9.2 yards per return.
- Chad Henne, QB, Miami Dolphins: Henne looked strong, completing 17 of his 26 pass attempts, good for 133 yards. He did not throw a TD, but he also didn't turn the ball over, which is a good sign for a rookie QB.
- Josh Morgan, WR, San Francisco 49ers: Continuing his impressive preseason, the sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech caught 5 balls for 114 yards and a TD. He very well could be one of the Niners starters at some point in the near future.
- Rudolph Hardie, DE, Detroit Lions: Hardie is an undrafted free agent out of Howard, but he must have made an impression against the Bengals, as he accumulated two sacks during the contest.
