, and thus far, the results have not been too good. The current season will be the third for these players, and few have made an impact, or are currently making an impact - including some very early picks.
Less than three full seasons is probably too early to determine whether an individual was a bust or not, but most seem headed that way. One player has made a Pro Bowl, Houston's Jerome Mathis, but that was as a kick returner. As you will see, only a few, like Braylon Edwards, have panned out thus far. Let's go round by round to see how these players fared. The number next to them is the overall pick they were drafted with.Round One
3. Cleveland Browns - Braylon Edwards: Edwards is playing like a Pro Bowler in his third year. He already has a career-high 7 touchdown receptions.
7. Minnesota Vikings - Troy Williamson: Drafted to replace Randy Moss, Williamson has been a disappointment. He has 3 TD catches in his entire career, and just 9 catches so far in 2007.
10. Detroit Lions - Mike Williams: One of Matt Millen's enormous draft busts, Williams caught all of 22 balls for Detroit. Fat and out of shape, he was shipped to the Raiders before the 2007 season and has caught 5 passes so far.
21. Jacksonville Jaguars - Matt Jones: Jones' first two seasons resulted in a total of 77 catches, but has been put on the bench in 2007, and has just 7 receptions.
22. Baltimore Ravens - Mark Clayton: Clayton has been hurt in 2007, but he snared 67 balls for nearly 1,000 yards and 5 TD's last season.
27. Atlanta Falcons - Roddy White: White is currently having the best year of his career after starting out slowly. He already has a career high with 33 receptions and 530 yards. He may not be a bust just yet.
Round Two
35. Phil. Eagles - Reggie Brown: Brown caught 8 TD passes in 2006, but has none in 2007 among his paltry 17 receptions.
39. Chicago Bears - Mark Bradley: Bradley's best season might have been his rookie campaign, when he had ... 18 catches. In 2007, he has 2.
55. Buffalo Bills - Roscoe Parrish: Parrish has 21 catches in 2007, but his main asset is his kick returning skills.
58. Green Bay Packers - Terrence Murphy: Murphy had just 5 catches for his career before getting injured and eventually retiring. He is now a coaching intern with the Packers.
61. San Diego Chargers - Vincent Jackson: Jackson was expected by many to have a breakout 2007, and he does have 20 catches and 2 touchdowns after snaring 6 TD passes among his 27 receptions last season.
Round Three
68. Tennessee Titans - Courtney Roby: Now with the Bengals, Roby has no catches this year after grabbing just 2 catches for the Titans last year.
83. Cincinnati Bengals - Chris Henry: A talented receiver, Henry is known more for his off the field trouble, as he has been arrested numerous times on charges ranging from DUI to assault.
96. Tennessee Titans - Brandon Jones: Jones is still with the Titans and has 13 receptions in 2007.
Round Four
114. Houston Texans - Jerome Mathis: The only Pro Bowler of the group, he was selected his rookie season as the primary kickoff returner. He has just 6 catches his entire career.
116. Kansas City Chiefs - Craphonso Thorpe: Thorpe never caught a pass for Kansas City and was released after one season. He spent time on the Lions and Texans practice squads before signing with the Colts this October. He made his NFL debut a couple weeks ago in a kickoff return capacity.
118. New Orleans Saints - Chase Lyman: Lyman never caught a pass in the NFL and is now working in real estate.
131. Pittsburgh Steelers - Fred Gibson: Gibson never made a roster and has spent time on the practice squads of several teams.
136. Tennessee Titans - Roydell Williams: Williams is having his best season in 2007, and had 124 yards receiving this past Sunday vs. the Texans.
Round Five
140. Chicago Bears - Airese Curie: Curie spent 2 years on injured reserve before being cut and is now playing in Canada.
155. Tampa Bay Bucs - Larry Brackins: Whereabouts unknown.
174. San Fran. 49ers - Rasheed Marshall: Marshall spent time in San Francisco, Pittsburgh and St. Louis. He has one reception for -1 yards in his career, and 1 rush for -7 yards.
Round Six
185. Jacksonville Jaguars - Chad Owens: Owens played for the Jags, was cut and in not currently playing.
190. Cincinnati Bengals - Tab Perry: Perry is currently on the Bengals injured reserve list after catching 1 pass this year and 10 for his career.
192. St. Louis Rams - Dante Ridgeway: Currently on the Jets practice squad.
195. Green Bay Packers - Craig Bragg: Played for the Amsterdam Admirals in 2006.
Round Seven
223. San Fran. 49ers - Marcus Maxwell: Currently on Bengals practice squad.
225. Tampa Bay Bucs - Paris Warren: Currently on Bucs injured reserve list.
226. Arizona Cardinals - LeRon McCoy: Now with the 49ers.
240. New York Jets - Harry Williams: Spent time on numerous practice squads, now with Texans.
253. Tampa Bay Bucs - J.R. Russell: Currently out of football.
