NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell the 52-year-old commissioner of NFL, has lived his life for football. He used to serve in the NFL office as a intern in the 1980's and now as the boss he is trying to ensure the future of his sport by imposing a lockout which he has gone to court to keep in place. Being a businessman, his main focus is on protecting the brand of the NFL.
Being very passionate about it all he talks about is the shield, the logo of the NFL, and that's what is important to him.
As observed by Sports Illustrated Senior Writer Jim Trotter what Roger is doing is with the best interest of NFL at heart but the reality is, Goodell is not the one who makes the deal here. It is the owners he has to got to and get 24 owners who will sign off on a new collective bargaining document for his attempt to be successful.
