The ongoing dispute between players and owners of NFL teams has not stopped the off-season speculation as to where players are going to end up. As the NFL Draft approaches, the intrigue has turned up a notch, as many veteran players could be on the trading block. For example, Bills wide receiver Lee Evans is owed a $1.5 million bonus and a $3million plus base salary for 2011, and given that he hit career lows in receptions and receiving yards the Bills may look to cut ties with Evans.
However, this also depends on the team's ability to find a viable replacement. The Miami Dolphins need to sign an experienced running back, and there are many for them to choose from. Clinton Portis and Willis McGahee are two good options, since Portis is a free agent and McGahee is set to be released, but it's rumored that Darren Sproles is the favorite choice of head coach Tony Sparano.
