Da'Quan Bowers has been a top NFL team draft interest, but there seems to be growing concern over the knee of the Clemson standout defensive end.
Some scouts had previously projected that he would be the No. 1 overall pick by the Carolina Panthers, but new rumors suggest he may be falling out of the top 10. If reports about Bowers recent knee surgery are true, he likely had arthroscopic surgery to trim out part of the meniscus, which serves as a shock absorber in the knee. It normally takes 2-6 weeks to return to normal activity after this kind of surgery, but for elite athletes to be completely healthy the recovery can take several months. At Clemson's pro day exhibit on April 1, it was clear that his knee was not 100%. He appeared slow and seemed to fatigue easily in the drills.
